Service terms

Use the webhook. Keep it private.

These terms apply to CC'ed’s hosted service when you create or use a webhook route. Please read them before using the service. Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement separately governs the app licence.

The service

CC'ed gives you private webhook routes that can turn HTTP requests into push notifications on your Apple devices. You are responsible for the messages you send, the systems you connect, and keeping every webhook URL and credential confidential.

You keep any rights you have in the messages you send. By submitting a message, you instruct CC'ed to validate it and transmit it to Apple only as needed to provide and secure the service. You must have the right to send that content and to address the receiving devices.

The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement. If these service terms conflict with Apple’s agreement for the app licence, Apple’s agreement controls that licence.

Complimentary access and purchases

New customers receive 14 days in which notification content and on-device History are visible. This is a server-granted period, not an Apple free trial: it does not start a StoreKit transaction and does not convert automatically into a paid plan.

After that period, active webhook routes can continue to deliver a fixed generic alert, but the submitted notification content and History remain hidden. Full notification content and History are available through a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The app shows the current local price and billing period before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewal; full-content access continues through the paid period.

The lifetime option is a one-time, non-renewing purchase with no scheduled expiry. It remains usable while the CC'ed hosted service continues to operate; it is not a promise that the service will operate for the purchaser’s lifetime.

Apple handles App Store billing. Eligible refund requests can be made through Apple’s Report a Problem service. This does not affect any refund or other statutory rights available under applicable law.

Acceptable use

Do not use CC'ed to break the law, send abusive or harmful content, interfere with the service, probe other customers’ routes, evade limits, distribute malware, or send messages to devices you are not authorised to address. Do not publish a webhook URL or embed it in client-side code where other people can read it.

We may immediately suspend a route where we reasonably believe this is necessary to address a serious security threat, fraud, unlawful use, or a material or repeated breach of these terms. Otherwise, where practicable, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to put the issue right. Suspension does not affect statutory rights or any right to a refund for paid service that is not supplied. Current payload and rate limits are documented in the API reference.

Availability and changes

CC'ed is a convenience notification service, not an emergency, life-safety, medical, alarm, or security-monitoring service. Do not rely on it where a delayed or missed notification could cause injury or serious loss.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but delivery depends on your network, Apple Push Notification service, device settings, and third-party infrastructure, so a specific delivery time or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

We may make minor technical improvements that do not materially reduce the service, and changes reasonably needed to comply with law, protect security, or continue working with Apple services. Except for a suspension permitted under these terms or if the hosted service ceases to operate as described above, we will not otherwise materially reduce hosted access supplied during a current subscription period or under a lifetime purchase. Apple handles subscription price changes and any notice or consent they require. We will post material term changes here with a new effective date before they apply, except where an urgent legal or security reason makes advance notice impracticable. If you do not accept a material change, you can stop using the service and cancel any subscription before renewal. Any statutory or refund rights for paid access remain unaffected.

Liability

CC'ed is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not caused by our breach or that neither of us could reasonably foresee when you began using the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending use

You can stop using CC'ed at any time, cancel subscriptions through Apple, and request deletion as described in the privacy policy. Provisions concerning rights in the service and message content, liability, and any payment or refund rights that arose before use ended continue where their nature requires it.
